I had done a few more pieces over winter break, but they had been sitting in my camera memory card until today, because of the start of classes. I will probably upload some of my work from said classes eventually, although right now the number of things I have to put up isn't that great. The piece above is called Memory I, an 11"x14" mixed media on Yupo. I enjoy the spontaneity of the Yupo surface, and plan to make a series of some kind out of this, though it will likely have to wait til this summer to develop. Here is Mitotic, a small 4"x4" acrylic on panel.

The last piece (below) is called Echo I, and will probably also become a series. I wanted to see if I could actually create a piece with a semi-neutral palette, and the results were interesting. I combined stain and textural effects by using fluid acrylics on a ground of light modling paste that was applied randomly. This piece was inspired by the passage of time and memories.
There is an Echo II, but I don't yet have a photo of it because it is at home. Look for a photo soon, though.
